Unfortunately, the app currently does not have a feature for creating smaller items (subcategories) within a category. However, by using category colors and sort order, you can organize your data almost as if you had subcategories.
Recommended tip: Group categories with similar colors
For example, if you want to break down your food expenses, try setting it up as follows.
Step 1: Create separate categories Create categories such as "Food (Groceries)" and "Food (Dining Out)".
Step 2: Use similar colors Set both categories to the same shade of red or similar shades.
Step 3: Place them next to each other Rearrange the categories so they sit side by side on the settings screen.
Benefits of this method
When you look at the report screen (such as the pie chart), items with similar colors appear grouped together, so you can see at a glance that the whole area in that color represents your food expenses.
